We find plastic bags light easy to handle , convenient but this cost a lot to our environment. Many countries have banned its use as they cause serious damage to land and water. They are made from nonrenewable sources and create greenhouse effect which contribute to global climate changes. It does not degrade and its small pieces gets broken and spread in water which affects marine/ aquatic life, even wildlife is affected as they consume it, and can suffocate them. Harmful to humans as plastic fragments are consumed by animals ,they become part of food chain and when humans consume such animals  the chemical effects their health leading to cancer like illness. It is hard to remove from environment are not easy to recycle and lasts for many years. We need to  spread awareness and take a pledge to not use it.  Other options like recycled paper bags, cloth bags, reusable bags are most sustainable,strong and Eco friendly. We need to follow our resolution in our daily life at work and home. A small contribution from an individual can have big impact in order to save our environment
